Frequently Asked Questions

What is your guest capacity?

We love hosting celebrations of all sizes! For our Elopement and Intimate Wedding packages, we offer packages for groups from 2 to 30 guests or 40 to 60 guests. For larger celebrations, our summertime maximum capacity is 250 guests while our winter indoor capacity is 120 guests.

Do you offer on-site lodging for our guests?

Yes! This is our specialty. We can house up to 89 guests on-site, allowing you to turn your wedding into a full weekend of celebration. Our accommodations range from the spacious lodges to cozy family cabins and deluxe suites. We do require a two-night minimum stay for weekend reservations.

How long do we have the venue for?

For our standard wedding and reception packages, the facility rental is for a five-hour event ending no later than 10:00 PM. If you are booking an Elopement (up to 30 guests), the rental is for three hours, and for Intimate Weddings (40–60 guests), it is for four hours—both ending by 8:00 PM unless you have booked the Northwest Territory and Mountain Retreat Suites for the night.

What is the deposit to secure our date?

To officially reserve your wedding venue or package, we require a 50% deposit of the package or venue cost. If you are booking lodging, the deposit for our large lodges (Ponderosa, Pines, or Trailhead) is the base rate plus tax for each day of use, while cabins and suites require a deposit of half the base rate plus tax.

What is your cancellation policy?

We understand that plans can change. For our Elopement and Intimate packages, your deposit is refundable minus a 10% fee if cancelled 180 days or more prior to the event. For larger wedding venues and our major lodges, deposits are non-refundable unless we are able to rebook the dates to another party, subject to a 10% processing fee. Cabins and suites can be cancelled up to 30 days prior for a refund, minus a 10% fee.

Do you provide in-house catering, or can we bring our own?

To ensure an extraordinary dining experience, all wedding reception dinners must be catered through Mountain Springs Lodge’s talented chef. Couples are able to work with our chef to build delicious customizable menus.

Can we bring our own alcohol?

We are fully licensed to serve beer, wine, and champagne. You are welcome to choose from our Banquet Beverage List, or if you prefer to bring your own beer, wine, or champagne, we can apply a corkage fee ($270 per case of wine/champagne or $20 per case of beer). Please note that Washington State law restricts hard liquor at our events, and all alcohol must be served by our certified bartenders.

Is there a backup plan for inclement weather?

Absolutely. In the case of unexpected weather either or both the ceremony and reception can be moved indoors to the Beaver Creek Lodge for groups up to 200 guests depending on the season.

Do you allow dogs on the property?

We are happy to welcome your furry family members – who are often some of the best ring bearers! Dogs are allowed in our designated pet-friendly cabins for a fee of $25/day. They must be monitored or leashed when outdoors and are not permitted inside our non-pet-friendly event spaces or lodges. Restrictions apply if a horse-drawn sleigh is involved during a winter wedding.

Do we need wedding liability insurance?

Yes, we require the contracting party to carry at least $1 million in liability insurance for the wedding, naming Mountain Springs Lodge as additionally insured, with proof submitted 60 days prior to your big day. Mountain Springs Lodge Coordinators are happy to provide local and national insurance carriers specializing in wedding insurance.
